Labourer Charged With Ganja Possession
Aaron December, a 22-year-old labourer residing at Lot 1226 Block ‘C’ Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, found himself facing charges of Possession of Narcotics. The arrest took place on November 29, 2023, and the subsequent charge was filed on November 30, 2023, by a Detective from the Golden Grove Police Station.
The specific offense relates to the possession of 40.4 grams of Cannabis. December was brought before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Golden Grove Magistrates Court on November 30, 2023. During the court appearance, the charge was read to him, to which he entered a plea of not guilty.
Despite the plea, the magistrate set bail at $40,000, and the case was adjourned until January 23, 2024. The legal proceedings will continue as December faces the charges and the legal process unfolds.
