The Guyana Defence Force Training Corps bids a fond farewell to three distinguished Brazilian jungle instructors who have completed their impactful one-year assignment at the Colonel Robert Mitchell Jungle and Amphibious Training School (CRMJATS) located in Makouria.

The departing personnel, Captain Diego Roz Marcilio, First Sergeants Itamar Krause, and Rodrigo Lopes De Almeida, played a pivotal role in the training and development of approximately 800 ranks in general Jungle Warfare at CRMJATS.

During their tenure, the Brazilian instructors significantly contributed to the success of the Jungle Operations phase of EXERCISE TRADEWINDS, a collaborative exercise held in Guyana in July 2023. Their expertise and guidance proved invaluable in enhancing the capabilities of Guyana Defence Force personnel in jungle warfare tactics.

In addition to their contributions at CRMJATS, the Brazilian team displayed versatility by offering dynamic instruction in Portuguese at the Brazilian Institute, further strengthening the cultural exchange between the two nations.

The Officer and Ranks of the Guyana Defence Force express sincere appreciation for the dedicated service of Captain Diego Roz Marcilio, First Sergeants Itamar Krause, and Rodrigo Lopes De Almeida. Their presence and expertise have left an indelible mark on the training programs and capabilities of the Guyana Defence Force.
