Police have arrested a 30-year-old labourer after they found a quantity of marijuana at his Best Village, West Coast Demerara (WCD) home.

The drug was discovered on Saturday, after police acting on information went to the suspect’s home at Best Village (Foreshore), WCD where the man was told of the reason for the visit, and a search was conducted on his person and home. During a search of the living room a bulky black plastic bag containing a large clear transparent zip lock bag with a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis was found.
He was told of the offense and escorted to the Leonora Police Station.
The narcotics were weighed in his presence and amounted to 195.7 grams. He remains in custody pending charges. (G9)
