Trio Charged for ‘Attempt to Commit a Felony’

Three individuals, Gopaul Brijlall (27 years old), Khrishna Persaud (20 years old), and Conrad Saul (31 years old), residents of Lusignan and Liliendaal on the East Coast of Demerara, were arrested on January 4, 2024, by a detective from the Cove and John Police Station. They have been jointly charged with the offence of ‘Attempt to Commit a Felony.’
The charges stem from an incident involving Muneshwar Persaud that occurred on January 4, 2024.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was formally read to them. In response, all three individuals pleaded not guilty to the allegations. The court set bail at $150,000 for each accused, and they were subsequently granted bail.
The case has been adjourned to February 15, 2024, for further proceedings.
The legal process will continue to unfold as investigations progress, and the accused individuals will have the opportunity to present their case before the court.
