Three Charged for Murder of Lisong Yang

Three individuals have been charged today in connection with the alleged murder of Lisong Yang, which occurred on March 14th, 2024, at Eteringbang Landing, Cuyuni River.

Darvy Diaz De Costa, Oscar Alside Scanio, and Pharrell Prince Adelph appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court #5 at approximately 10:30 hrs.

The trio faced the charge of Murder in the course or furtherance of a robbery, as stipulated in Section 100(1)(c)(i) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. They were not required to enter a plea and were all remanded to prison pending further legal proceedings.

Subsequently, the case was transferred to the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court, with the next court date scheduled for April 24th, 2024. Authorities continue their investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served for the victim and their family.
