The Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Georgetown Police Force conducted a comprehensive Traffic Enforcement Exercise in Central Georgetown earlier today, on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. The exercise, led by Corporal Dundas, Constable Alder, and Constable Collins, aimed at promoting road safety and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.
The enforcement exercise was carried out diligently between 10:00 hrs to 15:50 hrs, resulting in the identification and processing of various traffic-related violations. The following cases were recorded during the exercise:
Leaving a motor vehicle in a dangerous position – 12 cases
Failure to conform to signs – 5 cases
Failure to wear a safety helmet – 2 cases
Stopping within 30 feet from a corner – 6 cases
In total, 25 traffic-related cases were addressed during this exercise, contributing to the ongoing efforts of the Georgetown Police Force to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations within the city.
