Motorcycle Accident In Aranaputa Valley Leaves Randy Gilbert Injured
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a motorcyclist identified as Randy Gilbert was involved in an accident at Aranaputa Valley in the North Rupununi area of Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo). Gilbert, who was en route to Annai to deliver fresh produce, sustained injuries in the collision.
According to reports, Gilbert attempted to overtake a truck while travelling behind it. During the overtaking maneuver, a cloud of dust obscured the view of another pickup vehicle approaching from the opposite direction. The motorcycle and the oncoming vehicle collided, resulting in injuries to Randy Gilbert.
Public-spirited individuals who witnessed the accident promptly provided assistance to Gilbert. Emergency services were alerted, and the injured motorcyclist was transported for medical attention.
