Four days after Barat Bissoondial, 45, and Ramdeo Samlall, 49, set out for a fishing trip, tragedy struck as Bissoondial’s body was recovered while Samlall remains missing. The two fishermen, residents of D’Edward Village, West Bank Berbice, had embarked on their journey early Friday morning, but by Saturday night, they had not returned home.
Concerned about their safety, their families organized a search party on Sunday, scouring the waters in hopes of finding the missing men and their boat. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain, prompting them to file a missing persons’ report.
Early this morning, a grim discovery was made when Samlall’s lifeless body was found at Belladrum. However, there is still no sign of Bissoondial’s colleague, deepening the sense of loss and uncertainty for their families.
