When was Jorge “Jojo” Morales reported Missing?
MIAMI, Fla. — Jorge “Jojo” Morales A 6-year-old boy from Miami, who has been missing since August, was found in Canada, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Officials found “Jojo” in the company of his father and Grandmother Lilliam and said the child was in “good health and unharmed.” Both Lilliam and Jorge have been taken into custody by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Jorge “JoJo” Morales was last seen in Miami on Saturday, August 27, before he went missing for over two months. According to Maine State Police, a vehicle with connections to the abduction was found in Houlton on Aug. 29.
His father, 45-year-old Jorge Gabriel Morales, and paternal grandmother 68-year-old Lilliam Pena Morales were both taken into custody.
In a statement, Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez said “This is another example of how local, state, federal, and international law enforcement, along with the United States and State Attorney’s Office coming together for the safety of a child and will continue to work together to fight the greater evil,”
“I’m just so happy because my son is okay, I feared the worst,” said Yanet Leal Concepcion, Jojo’s mother. “Every mother fears the worst and I’m just… I can’t my body is like leaving my soul. I’m just so happy I can’t stop crying.”
