Victoria Police : Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad have made a significant development in their investigation into the suspicious disappearance of Ballarat East woman, Samantha Murphy.

Early yesterday morning, at approximately 6 am, a 22-year-old Ballarat man was arrested at his residence. While the individual remains in custody, no charges have been laid at this time.

We understand the continued high level of interest and concern surrounding Samantha’s disappearance. However, it is crucial that any speculation does not hinder the ongoing investigation.
