Case 1: Robbery of Joshua Singh

Stolen Items: Various items valued at $215,000 (Guyana Currency)
Kevin Batson has been accused of robbing Joshua Singh on the specified date and location. He was arrested, charged, and appeared at the Diamond Golden Grove Magistrate Court before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce. During the court appearance, Batson pleaded not guilty, and bail was refused. He has been remanded to prison, and the case is scheduled for further hearing on February 2, 2024.
Case 2: Robbery of Rajesh Ramlakhan
Date of Incident: January 7, 2024
Location: Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara
In a separate incident, Kevin Batson has also been charged with the armed robbery of Rajesh Ramlakhan on January 7, 2024, at Grove Housing Scheme, EBD. He appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read. Similar to the first case, Batson pleaded not guilty, and bail was refused. He has been remanded to prison, and the matter is adjourned to February 2, 2024.
