Arrest and Charges for Simple Larceny in Foulis
The Guyana Police Force, through the diligent efforts of the Enmore Police Station, has successfully arrested and charged Terrence David, a 23-year-old unemployed resident of Foulis, East Coast Demerara. The charges are in connection with an alleged act of Simple Larceny, as outlined in section 164 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The victim, Terrence Jackson, a 37-year-old Driver of Foulis, East Coast Demerara, reported the incident, which is said to have occurred between January 7, 2024, and January 8, 2024, at his residence. David is accused of stealing various items, including a Truck Starter valued at $110,000, an Angle Grinder valued at $15,000, a Jig Saw valued at $30,000, a Mountain Bike (Pedal Cycle) valued at $24,000, and a case of Glass Bottles valued at $3,000.
Terrence David was apprehended on Tuesday and subsequently charged today. He appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at 11:00hrs today. During the court proceedings, the charge was read to him, and he pleaded not guilty. As a result, he has been remanded to prison, and the case is adjourned to February 6, 2024.
