Shane Bourne, a 26-year-old resident of Laing Avenue, is currently hospitalized under police guard following a targeted shooting incident on Monday morning. Bourne was shot five times by two gunmen who trailed him from his home to Middle Road La-Penitance, where the attack occurred.
According to sources familiar with the incident, the gunmen approached Bourne on a red motorcycle, with one of them dismounting and approaching Bourne directly. The assailant allegedly inquired if Bourne was known as “Bad Boy” before firing five shots at him. After the attack, the gunmen fled the scene, and Bourne was left wounded.
Bourne has reportedly been wanted by the police for a string of robberies and shootings in the Police A division prior to this incident. However, details regarding his alleged criminal activities have not been disclosed.
