The transfer window for football clubs in Guyana opens today (June 1) and closes on July 31.
General Secretary of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Ian Alves announced that the period offers clubs, including those competing in the KFC Elite League Season Six and Member Associations’ Senior Men’s League, the chance to bolster their squads by acquiring new players.
Additionally, clubs competing in the Women’s League Division One have the opportunity to make changes in time for the new season later this year.
Alves stressed that “all clubs must ensure they uphold the GFF’s regulations regarding transfers to maintain the integrity and smooth operation of the process.”
He added that managers with any questions regarding the process should contact the Federation.
All transfers must involve and have the full agreement of the former club, the player, the former regional association, the new club, and the new regional association, especially in the case of inter-association transfers.
The GFF will be closely monitoring compliance to ensure fair play and adherence to established guidelines.
