Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Two Lives in Berbice

A devastating motorcycle accident on the Corentyne Public Road in Berbice has left two young men dead and another in critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Deolall Tulsi, also known as Vekash, of Lot 90 South First Street Letter Kenny, Corentyne, and 22-year-old Rondy Emanuel, a labourer residing at Lot 167 Williamsburg, Corentyne. The injured victim is 17-year-old Veeram Seecharran of Lot 63 Williamsburg Village.
The fatal incident occurred around 20:30 hours on Friday along the Williamsburg Public Road. Tulsi was operating motorcycle #CM 2969, while Emanuel was riding motorcycle #CM 50 with Seecharran as his pillion rider.
According to police reports, Tulsi was traveling west along the southern drive lane of Williamsburg’s Public Road, while Emanuel and Seecharran were heading in the opposite direction.
Both motorcycles were allegedly speeding when Emanuel lost control of his bike, veering south into the path of Tulsi. The collision between the two motorcycles was unavoidable, resulting in all three riders falling onto the road and sustaining injuries.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the victims to Port Mourant Public Hospital. Tragically, Tulsi was pronounced dead upon arrival, while Rondy Emmanuel succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical treatment.
Miner’s Body Found in Essequibo River
Seecharran, suffering from a fractured skull, was initially treated at New Amsterdam Public Hospital before being transferred to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where he remains in critical condition.
As authorities continue their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident, the community mourns the loss of two promising young lives and hopes for Seecharran’s swift recovery.
