Tragic Discovery: 54-Year-Old Labourer Found Dead Near Bushes in Corriverton

In a deeply distressing incident, the lifeless body of a 54-year-old man was discovered wrapped in a hammock near bushes along the Number 77 Housing Scheme access road in Corriverton on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Michael Jackson, a resident of Number 72 Village, Corentyne Berbice.
According to reports from his wife, Jenny Smith, Jackson had left home on Saturday around 21:30 hours to visit a friend in the same village where his body was eventually found. Smith expressed her concern, stating, “And meh hoping for he come back home and he nah come back home. He tell me we gone go beach on the Sunday, so we waiting for he and we still nah see he. Till around 2:00 to 3:00 me get fuh know Micheal Jackson dead.”
Upon discovery, Jackson was found with a head wound, leading family members to suspect foul play and believe that he was the victim of a murder. One of Jackson’s cousins, Onika Felix, passionately asserted, “We want justice. It’s a life, and I don’t see that they should have done that to him. Despite whatever he had done to them, they could have reported it than taken it into their own hands.”
Michael Jackson, a father of three, leaves behind grieving family members who are grappling with the shock and sorrow of his untimely demise.
