Three Charged for Simple Larceny at Anirud Construction Firm

Three individuals have been charged in connection with the recent Simple Larceny case involving Anirud Construction Firm, occurring between March 24th and 28th, 2024, at Great Diamond New Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
Dianand Mangroo, a 50-year-old Security Guard from Skeldon, Corentyne Berbice, was apprehended on March 28th, 2024. Charran Dhunmun, a 27-year-old Mechanic from Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, and Thakour Mangal, a 33-year-old Operator from Springlands, Corentyne, were both arrested on March 29th, 2024.
All three suspects have been jointly charged with Simple Larceny, Contrary to Section 164 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
Appearing today at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #2 before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, the charge was formally presented to them. Each individual entered a plea of not guilty. Bail was subsequently granted in the sum of $100,000 to each defendant.
The case has been adjourned to April 29th, 2024, as investigations continue into the alleged incident at Anirud Construction Firm.
