Keron Randy Boyer, 22, who was wanted by the police for the murder of Kitty teenager Benjamin Seaforth was arrested on Saturday last.
Boyer appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Thursday before Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs-Marcus, who read the charge to him. He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to prison.
This matter was adjourned to June 25, 2024
Seaforth and Boyer are known to each other.
Police Headquarters in its initial statement said Seaforth was at the corner of Lamaha and Gordon Street, where he and the suspect argued.
A scuffle ensued and the suspect pulled a knife from the left side of his pants waist and stabbed Seaforth several times about his body.
Seaforth reportedly ran in a western direction on Gordon Street and collapsed about 100 feet from the intersection of Gordon and Lamaha Street. The suspect then made good his escape.
The police and Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned and responded.
Seaforth’s body was examined and he was pronounced dead by a doctor of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
