Police Conduct Cordon and Search Operation, Seize Marijuana from Mahdia Miner

In a cordon-and-search operation conducted by police ranks in Regional Division #8, Julian Hodge, known as ‘Gully’ and a 30-year-old Miner from Seven Miles Mahdia, Potaro, was intercepted at the Mahdia Arcade.
Upon searching Hodge, officers discovered 13.8 grams of suspected marijuana in his possession. During the search, Hodge was found with a one-strap Polo bag secured around his waist. Inside the bag, officers uncovered two bulky plastic bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Hodge was promptly informed of the suspicion, arrested, and escorted to Mahdia Police Station along with the seized cannabis. Upon arrival at the station, the suspected cannabis was weighed in Hodge’s presence, confirming a total of 13.8 grams. The suspect remains in custody pending formal charges.
