Police Apprehend Henrietta Resident with Unlicensed Firearm

Cleon Alphonso, a 32-year-old unemployed resident of Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, was detained by vigilant police officers during a mobile patrol operation near the Anna Regina Police Headquarters at approximately 09:15 hrs this morning. He was discovered to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Alphonso caught the attention of patrol officers as he was observed walking along the road. Upon stopping him for questioning, a thorough search was conducted, revealing a firearm along with one magazine (lacking ammunition) in his possession.
When questioned about possessing a firearm license, Alphonso admitted that he did not possess one. Subsequently, he was informed of the offence, cautioned, and promptly taken into custody by law enforcement personnel.
Alphonso remains detained as authorities prepare to file charges against him for the illegal possession of a firearm. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
