The officer stopped his van and as he peek into the van he noticed two women sitting inside the van. One was a mother and the other a grandmother. He then said good morning and asked if everything was ok. Grandma said, “Yes, we are fine. I’m just waiting for my husband who’s inside donating plasma for money.
” I then explained to Grandma Tammy what my job duties were at our agency and allowed me to help them with the children. Mrs. Tammy was very worried about me helping them. I continued to single-mindedly observe that this was a serious case of homelessness. Then I asked if the children had breakfast. Ms. Tammy said that’s what they’re doing now. They were sitting on the ground eating a granola bar. That’s when I asked Ms. Tammy if I could buy them a McDonald’s breakfast.
