Minister Edghill Inspects Rapid Progress of Conversation Tree to Dennis Street Road Project

Today, Minister of Public Works, Hon. Bishop Juan Edghill, visited the ongoing construction of the Conversation Tree to Dennis Street four-lane road project, noting its rapid progress. During his visit, he also assessed emergency remedial works at the junction of Dennis Street and Conversation Tree, as well as the entrances to First Street.
Minister Edghill emphasized the importance of safety in this active construction zone, urging commuters to reduce their speed. To enhance safety, speed bumps are being installed at the entrances of First Street and Pike Street. Additionally, the extension of Dehli Street to Duncan Street is being upgraded to accommodate two-way traffic.
Responding to numerous complaints, Minister Edghill appealed to truck operators to keep their tailgates locked at all times to reduce noise pollution and prevent materials from falling onto the roads. He also reminded truck drivers to adhere to the 25 Kmph speed limit when passing through construction zones in communities.
To expedite the project, Minister Edghill highlighted the government’s efforts to encourage contractors to work at night, while stressing the importance of minimizing disturbances to residents.
