Good Hope Resident Arrested After Police Seize Cannabis from Cupboard

In a recent police operation conducted in Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, a 23-year-old resident, Alvin Roland, was arrested following the discovery of cannabis in his home.
The operation, which took place yesterday, targeted Roland’s residence, where law enforcement officers uncovered a parcel containing cannabis leaves, seeds, and stems concealed within a cupboard. The discovery led to Roland being informed of the offence, cautioned, and subsequently taken into custody by the authorities.
In addition to the seizure of the illegal substance, police also confiscated a black motorcycle found on the premises. Roland was then placed in custody at the Vigilance Police Station pending further investigation.
The confiscated narcotic, weighing approximately 107.32 grams, was subjected to weighing as evidence in the case. As of now, Roland remains in custody as authorities prepare to file formal charges against him.
