Good Hope Man Charged with Break and Enter and Larceny
Saiad Khan, a 25-year-old resident of lot 351 Phase One, Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on November 20, 2023, and subsequently charged on November 27, 2023, for the offence of Break and Enter and Larceny.
The charges against Khan are in contravention of Section 229 (a) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act chapter 8:01 and are related to an incident involving Parmanand Jherry.
On November 27, 2023, at approximately 10:30 hrs, Khan appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court 1 before Magistrate F Azore. The charge was formally read to him during the court proceedings.
Khan pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the magistrate granted him bail in the sum of $50,000. The case has been adjourned, with the next court date set for January 26, 2024, for a report on the matter. The legal process will continue as the court addresses the allegations against Saiad Khan.
