Entrepreneur opens new bubble tea, frappé venture at Cotton Field

  • by

Geresh Bissessar, a 31-year-old resident of Lima, Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam), who has been living in Canada, returned to Guyana and opened the new ‘Warlock Cafe’ which specialises in bubble teas, frappés and milkshakes.

Bissessar opined that there was a need for such a venture in Essequibo and as such, opted to leverage his knowledge acquired in Canada to establish the new cafe at Cotton Field, on the Essequibo Coast.

“I returned home and thought about what I could contribute. With tourists visiting this region, I believed they needed new experiences and flavors in their teas,” Bissessar highlighted.

Since its opening two weeks ago, the cafe has sold over 1,000 cups and created employment for five individuals. And Bissessar expressed his gratitude to the Essequibo community for their overwhelming support of his local business so far.

Warlock Cafe, the entrepreneur said, prides itself on providing unique flavors of bubble tea at affordable prices. Bissessar said he will expand the menu and add more creative options soon.
