The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) is thrilled to announce substantial advancements in the Cummings Lodge Well project. At 8:30 PM today, the successful installation of screens and casing was completed, marking a pivotal milestone in the well’s development.
With this critical phase accomplished, the project is now poised to enter the next stage of development, guaranteeing that the well will soon be operational. This advancement is set to provide potable water to the residents of Cummings Lodge and its surrounding areas.
Shaik Baksh, Chief Executive Officer of GWI, has been onsite, overseeing the progress closely. Baksh expressed satisfaction with the work done thus far, emphasizing the significance of reaching this stage. The well, boasting a depth of 850 feet, holds promise for significantly enhancing water supply and distribution within the community.
