Buxton Resident Sentenced to Prison for Possession of AK 47 Ammunition

Orin Younge, also known as Orin Matthews, a 36-year-old Security Officer residing on Middle Street, Buxton, East Coast Demerara, has been handed a prison sentence after being found in possession of AK-47 ammunition.

Younge was apprehended by police authorities on April 5th, 2024, following the discovery of a magazine containing 15 live AK-47 ammunition rounds at his residence.

Appearing before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 8th, 2024, Younge pleaded guilty to the charges against him. In light of his admission of guilt, Magistrate Azore sentenced him to two years’ imprisonment.
