Bus Operator Charged with Damaging Rear View Mirrors Appears in Court

In a recent court appearance, Coldon Daly, known as Big Head, a bus operator, faced charges of damaging two rear view mirrors. The arraignment took place before Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs-Marcus, stemming from an incident that occurred on March 30, 2024, on Croal Street, Georgetown.
According to police reports, Daly allegedly caused damage to two rear view mirrors valued at a total of $310,000. One mirror was assessed at $150,000, while the other was valued at $160,000.
During the court proceedings, Daly pleaded not guilty to the charge leveled against him. However, he expressed willingness to compensate the victim for the damaged mirrors. The victim, in turn, requested $280,000 in compensation.
Acting Chief Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus granted Daly bail in the amount of $60,000. Additionally, Daly was instructed to pay a total compensation of $100,000 by the next hearing scheduled for May 29, 2024. Failure to fulfill this requirement would result in a three-week imprisonment sentence.
