When were the 2 suspects arrested?
From the Lakewood Police Department The 2 Suspects who were wanted for 1st Degree Murder after a fire killed a mother and daughter early Halloween morning have been arrested.
On 10/31/22 at approximately 4:15 A.M., Lakewood Police and West Metro Fire were called to the Tiffany Square apartment building at 935 Sheridan Blvd. for reports of a large structure fire. At least 14 units suffered fire damage, with all residents of the 32 units being displaced.
During the investigation, two victims were found deceased inside one of the apartments. The victims have been identified as 31-year-old Kathleen Payton and 10-year-old Jazmine Payton-Aguayo of Lakewood.
In all, 10 people were injured in this fire. Seven were treated and released, including a firefighter who was treated for smoke inhalation. Three additional victims were transported to the hospital.
On the evening of 11/6/22, detectives and agents with the Lakewood Police arrested and booked both juveniles on suspicion of committing 1st Degree Murder and 1st Degree Arson. Because of the ages of the juvenile suspects, their names cannot be released.
