Charran Ragoobeer, 46, of Adventure, Essequibo Coast, was robbed Monday night of two gold chains and a gold ring by a masked bandit.
The News Room understands that the man was robbed at about 22:30 hrs at his Adventure residence after he returned from a funeral.
The assailant reportedly approached Ragoobeer and then fired three shots, hitting Ragoobeer in the foot before escaping with the valuables.
Ragoobeer was promptly taken to Suddie Public Hospital, where he is being treated for his injury. Police recovered a 9mm spent shell on the eastern side of the yard and are continuing their investigation.
