Tragedy struck on the Perseverance public road, Essequibo Coast, as 17-year-old Shane Lall lost his life due to injuries sustained in a recent accident. Lall tragically passed away while receiving medical care at the Georgetown Public Hospital on Saturday, following his admission to the Intensive Care Unit.

The accident, which occurred around 09:30 hrs on April 10, saw Lall heading north on the public road when he tragically lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in a collision with a motor vehicle. The impact was severe, causing Lall’s motorcycle to burst into flames.

Reports indicate that mechanical issues plagued Lall’s motorcycle at the time of the accident, with oil leakage and overheating contributing to the loss of control. The collision left Lall with severe head injuries, ultimately leading to his untimely death.

The body of the young victim currently rests at the hospital mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
