Pebbles, the world’s oldest living dog, has died at age 22, five months shy of her 23rd birthday. The toy fox terrier was awarded the Guinness Book of Records in May. She took the title from TobyKeith, a 21-year-old chihuahua from Florida. Pebbles was born on March 28, 2000, in Long Island, NY. She spent her last day enjoying country music and being loved.
She was a once-in-a-lifetime companion and we were honored to have her as a pet and family member,” owners Bobby and Julie Gregory said in a statement on Instagram.
“There was never anyone who met Pebbles who didn’t love her. she will be deeply missed.”
